Liat Bar-Shishat

Principal, Karov School
Liat Bar-Shishat holds a BA in education and sociology and an MA in organizational sociology from the Hebrew University. For ten years she headed the Scouts branch in Kefar Adummim—the first branch of its kind for both religious and secular youth.
Prior to her studies at Mandel she served in different positions at the Pelech Religious Experimental High School for Girls in Jerusalem. As the social coordinator, Bar-Shishat developed an extensive social program that included an aspect to familiarize the students with core issues in Israeli society. In her final year at the school she was appointed vice-principal. She initiated a pilot program at the school to develop and implement an educational vision, with the participation of the entire school community.
In 2012, Liat assumed the position as principal of the Karov School, a creative joint religious-secular school in Tzur Hadassah.
