Danny Bar-Giora
Graduate of Cohort 4, Mandel School for Educational Leadership
Head of Education Administration in the Jerusalem Municipality
Danny Bar-Giora holds BA and MA degrees in Math and Computer Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Prior to participating in the Mandel School for Educational Leadership, Bar-Giora worked in the high-tech industry. After studying at Mandel he served as principal of the Charles E. Smith Jerusalem School of Arts. In this capacity, he was awarded the Minister of Education Prize for a model he developed to include special needs students in an art school. He was also one of founders of the Bilingual School in Jerusalem.
Bar-Giora recently completed a term as Head of Implementation of the “New Horizon” reform in the Israeli educational system, a task that entailed coordinating between all Ministry departments involved with the reform.
Recently, Danny has been appointed to head the entire educational system of the Jerusalem Municipality, and is responsible for the Jerusalem Education Administration, the city's Ultra-Orthodox Education Administration and several other municipal agencies.
