About the Program
The Mandel Scholars in Education Program was launched in 2010 with the aim of developing a new generation of Israeli academics in the field of education, who will be both outstanding scholars and committed educational leaders.
The program is designed to help participants complete the writing of their dissertations, to deepen their knowledge of the field of education in Israel and to crystallize their professional identities as educators. Program fellows receive a living stipend, office facilities at the Mandel Leadership Institute in Jerusalem and a unique program that includes meetings with researchers and practitioners who are active in the field of education in Israel and abroad.
Applications
The Mandel Scholars in Education Program considers applications from doctoral students in the education departments of institutions of higher education in Israel who are at the stage of writing their dissertations, having already had their research proposals approved and having completed the collection of data. Suitable applicants are invited for a personal interview. Finalists are requested to present a lecture on their research to the Admissions Committee.
The admissions process for the 2013-14 academic year is now closed.
The admissions process for 2014-15 will open towards the end of 2013 or at the beginning of 2014, and will be announced in the national Hebrew press and on the MLI website.
