Jon Levison is Assistant Professor of Jewish Education in the Department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, and Assistant Academic Director, Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education at Brandeis University, Boston.

Levison's academic expertise is in the areas of philosophy of education and philosophy of Jewish education. He has a particular interest in questions of knowledge (epistemology) in the humanities, including the myriad ways we have of making sense of texts in the contexts of teaching and learning (both religious and secular texts).
