Our Mission

To invigorate Jewish life around the world by preparing professionals with vision, commitment, and practical wisdom to lead community institutions and direct educational initiatives.

General Information
The Mandel Jerusalem Fellows in Jewish Education (MJF) is a one-year, residential fellowship program based in the Mandel School for Educational Leadership.  This fellowship is aimed at mid-career professionals with a proven track record in Jewish educational and communal leadership.

MJF provides Fellows with a rich, supportive environment, over the course of a year, in which to:

  • Develop a compelling vision of what they are seeking to achieve in the next phase of their careers, along with a strategic plan of how to implement it.
  • Reflect on their professional practice, examining the fundamental assumptions that have informed their work to date.
  • Challenge and refine their conceptions of the goals and methods of contemporary Jewish education, through study with top scholars, policymakers and practitioners from around the world.

The Mandel Jerusalem Fellows in Jewish Education is one of several programs at the Mandel Leadership Institute working to develop a cadre of dynamic leaders equipped to foster educational and social innovation in their communities. Please refer to the Mandel Foundation and Mandel Leadership Institute websites for additional information regarding other Mandel projects.
