Further Reading: Chapter Two

As described in chapter two, "The Project in Operation," a ten-year process produced Visions of Jewish Education. One reason for the lengthy process was that issues related to the methodology of the project were consciously and critically explored. These included the

  • selection of scholars
  • nature of the work with scholars
  • work with educators
  • construction of a fruitful dialogue between educators and scholars
  • role of social scientists in the process
  • presentation of the visions to various audiences: teachers, lay leaders, scholars, principals, and so on

We have not as of yet published materials describing our methodological considerations and decisions. For those involved in efforts at working with scholars in the development of their educational visions, however, we are happy to receive queries and will do our best to respond to them individually. We can be contacted at visions@mli.org.il.
